Our 10/17/ 24-day Surf Trips are all inclusive packages, full board from Padang Airport back to Padang Airport. We will provide you the transfers from Padang Airport to Resort and back, twin or single accommodation, 3 meals a day plus snacks, transportation to the surf spots, guiding.
Not included: massage services at the resort, laundry, satellite internet and phone, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, Visa fees, Airport and Mentawai Tourism Taxes.

Our 10/17/24-day Surf Trips depart exclusively the Saturdays at 14:00 from Padang Airport or Padang Hotel, back to Padang the Mondays at 12:00 at Padang Airport or Padang Hotel. The transfers are done exclusively by ferry.
For any other departure days, or a transfer by plane, please refer to Tailor-made Surf Trips program and prices.

Transfers by ferry, as they are comfortable and take place during the night, sparing you time for one day of surf. The transfers by plane, which depart sometimes between 08:00 and 12:00 take the best part of the day often not allowing any surf on that day, and usually obliging the surfer to spend one night in Padang before and after the Surf Trip. Because they take place too early on the inward journey to the Island, and come back too late, most guest might not make connecting flights to Australia, Europe or the US without spending an extra night in Padang.

The ferry leaves late afternoon and arriving back early morning offers better connecting schedules for the international flights.

However, Tailor-made Transfers are always possible the Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning between 08:00 and 12:00, back to Padang Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday anywhere between 12:00 and 18:00. We strongly advise you not to take a connecting flight the same day.

The 10-day Surf Trip

Day 1 - Arrival in Padang
A Mentawai Surf staff member will welcome you at the airport and if necessary assist you in getting your visa. Your bags will be loaded into vans and you will be escorted to a comfortable hotel for a dip in the swimming pool and rest until the transfer to the harbor at around 5 / 6 pm. The ferry to the Mentawai Islands leaves between 7 and 10 pm for a full night’s crossing.
If you arrive several days before the surf group’s departure, (every Saturday), we will also assist you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel, booked at your own cost.
Day 2 - Arrival on Siloinak Island
The ferry is a modern, comfortable and reliable vessel. Perhaps the best of all Indonesian ferries. She offers AC cabins of 2 and 4 bunks, with one shared shower.This is from far the most comfortable way to travel the 130 km (about 8/10 hours) to the Mentawai Archipelago.The ferry reaches the harbor of Muara Siberut or Tuapajat on the second day of your journey, at 7 or 8 am.
From the Muara Siberut harbor/Tuapajat harbor, our speedboats take you to Siloinak Resort, a 70/120 -minute boat ride. We will arrive around 12:00, right on time for lunch.
Hopefully, we will surf in the afternoon of Day 2.
Day 2 to Day 8 - Surf at Siloinak Island (7 days)
Wake up with the sun, a good breakfast and your speedboat leaves around 8:00 for a full day of surf. Our speed boats take a maximum of 8 surfers, usually divided into two groups, to keep numbers to a minimum and adapt the program to their level. Your guide will choose the best spots according to the prevailing conditions.
You will reach the spots after a 15 to 30 minute-sail. Our speedboats, equipped with powerful outboard engines, offer an incredible flexibility in the choice of waves.
Food A professional cook with wide experience in top Indonesian hotels prepares the meals, based on fresh fruit, vegetables and meat shipped weekly from the mainland. Rice, together with good Italian pasta “al dente” are the main staple, with fresh fish direct from the sea, daily delivered and fried, baked, curried or barbequed on the beach.
Three hot meals a day, with breakfasts consisting of omelet’s, pancakes, French Toast, muesli, yoghurt, fruit salad, cheese, butter and jam.
Lunch is taken onboard our speedboats or on a remote beach: classic sandwiches and rice salads, fruits and desserts, along with tea and coffee, and surf snacks.
Dinner is quite a serious affair with an “entrée”, main course, salads, cheese and dessert.
Accomodation
we offer twelve bungalows sharing 8 bathrooms. The bungalows are spaced out in a large flower garden, so as to preserve guests’ privacy, and look out to the sea, 50 feet away. They accommodate 2 guests each. Single occupancy is possible, at an extra cost. Pillows, sheets, mosquito nets, beach and bathroom towels and are of course provided. Hot water is available in the eight shared showers. The architecture of the facilities keeps the same aesthetic spirit that prevails on the entire island.
Day 9 - Back to Padang
After lunch, transfer to Muara Siberut/Tupajat.The ferry leaves between 7 and 10 pm.
Day 10 - End of Program
Breakfast in Padang and transfer to the airport for travelers departing the same day. End of our services at 18:00. Dinner is not included.

The 17-day Surf Trip offers exactly the same services, but you will stay one week more at the Resort, enjoying 14/15 days of surf.

Our 10/17/24-day Surf Trips begin every Saturday afternoon and end every Monday morning.
The transfers from Padang to the Resort and back are always done overnight onboard a comfortable ferry.

If you want to book a surf trip designed to fit other schedules, you will ask for a
"Tailor-made", using the plane for the transfers from Padang to Siloinak Resort, or a combination of plane and ferry.

This adds flexibility to your Surf Trip.
You can begin it every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday morning at Padang Airport, and will end it a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday afternoon (with plane transfers) or Monday morning (boat transfer), allowing for 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15-day surf trips.

The price of a "Tailor-made" surf trip is about 100 / 150 USD superior to a Surf Package, due to higher cost of transfer from Padang to the resort.

Note that, due to early departure of the plane and uncertainty of the schedule you will have to stay one night in Padang before and after your Tailor Made Surf Trip.
