of operations for oil companies, scientific missions and
film or video producers.
Mentawai Adventure can organize your shooting from the film
permit to ice-cold beers in the middle of the jungle.

My apologies for the delay in contacting you –
I’ve had a little time off, and then head-first
into the edit suite. There is a mountain of footage
to go through, and precious little time.
Thank you for all your hard work and efforts in getting
us through our journey. There were times – on
the ferry and the trek particularly – when I
thought we might never make it.
I could also see the enormous logistical exercise
you were confronted with – and again thought,
how is this ever going to happen?
Thank you for getting us there and back in one piece.
The crew camp, the food, the expertise of your staff,
all went beyond my expectations.
As well, the Mentawai people were a pleasure to deal
with. Nothing seemed to be a problem for them (not
that we saw anyway), and the footage we have returned
with is excellent.
Can I make particular mention of your staff: Oyon,
Ed, Robby, Mattias, Rustan, Dave and Gerry (I hope
I haven’t forgotten anyone).
They were the most professional group I have ever
worked with in such a role overseas. No task was too
difficult, no request ever rejected – and most
of all, they were great fun to be with.
You are fortunate to have them in your employ, as
we were to be working together.

will be sent from either here or New Zealand in the
coming days.
